The sowing season for Kharif crops is approaching. To help farmers with irrigation, the state government is offering a subsidy on irrigation pipelines. Farmers can get up to 60% subsidy, with a maximum of Rs 18,000. This offer is to make sure that farmers do not face any problems in irrigating their crops.

How Much Subsidy Is Available?

The state government will provide:

  • Small and Marginal Farmers: 60% of the unit cost or a maximum of Rs 18,000.
  • Other Farmers: 50% of the unit cost or a maximum of Rs 15,000.

The subsidy will be directly deposited into the farmer's bank account.

Who Can Apply for the Subsidy?

To be eligible, farmers must:

  • Have cultivable land in their name.
  • Have an electric, diesel, or tractor-driven pump set on a well.

Farmers using a shared well can also apply, but each must have different land ownership.

Required Documents

Farmers need the following documents to apply:

  • Aadhaar or JanAadhar card
  • Recent Jamabandi copy (not older than six months)
  • Bank passbook copy for bank account details
  • The mobile number linked to Aadhaar

How to Apply

Farmers in Rajasthan can apply until 20 June 2024. Applications can be submitted online through the Raj Kisan Sathi portal or at the nearest e-Mitra center. Farmers will receive an online receipt after submitting the application.

Grant Process

After applying, the farmer must purchase the pipeline from a manufacturer registered with the Agriculture Department or an authorized dealer. Approval information will be sent via mobile message by the agricultural supervisor. Once purchased, the pipeline will be verified by the department. If approved, the subsidy amount will be deposited into the farmer's account.

Benefits of the Irrigation Pipeline

Using irrigation pipelines allows farmers to transport water efficiently from wells to fields without leakage, saving 20-25% of water.
