  1. IPU 94-1 (Uttara): Ideal for NEPZ areas, this variety, developed by ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur, promises yields ranging from 12 to 14 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. T-9: Suited for all parts of UP, T-9 offers a yield of about 8 to 10 quintals per hectare, ripening in 70 to 75 days.

 

  1. TPU-4: Ready in 74 days, TPU-4 is recommended for Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, with yields ranging from 7 to 13 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. PU-31: With medium-sized grains, PU-31 matures in 70 to 80 days, ideal for Rajasthan, yielding about 10 to 12 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. Pant U-30: Maturing in 70 days, this variety, is suitable for yellow mosaic areas, delivering yields of around 10 to 12 quintals per hectare, primarily grown in Madhya Pradesh.

 

  1. EPU 94-1 (IPU-4): Best suited for the plains of western Uttar Pradesh, this variety matures in 85 days, offering yields of about 11 to 12 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. LBG-623: Ripening in 69 days, LBG-623 is recommended for Andhra Pradesh, providing yields of 10-12 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. Azad Udad-2: Maturing in 70 to 75 days, this variety is suitable for Uttar Pradesh, offering yields of 9 to 10 quintals per hectare.

 

  1. Jawahar Urad-2: Known for its shiny black, medium-small seeds, this variety, yielding 10 to 11 quintals per hectare, is preferred in Madhya Pradesh.
