The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana is one of the most popular schemes for women in Madhya Pradesh. Under this scheme, eligible women receive ₹1,250 every month in their bank accounts. Recently, the 17th installment of this scheme has been released. This installment was transferred to the accounts of 1.29 crore women across the state. During the release, the Chief Minister also credited amounts to the accounts of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This event took place in Singhrampur village, Damoh.

The previous installment, the 16th, was released on September 9, 2024. This time, the installment has been transferred ahead of schedule to allow the beneficiaries to celebrate Navratri and Dussehra with ease.
This isn’t the first time the Ladli Behna Yojana installment has been released before the due date. The Chief Minister had announced earlier that the installment would be credited by the 10th of every month. However, during festivals or holidays, the amount is transferred earlier.
During a recent review meeting, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the Ladli sisters should be connected to small-scale industries and business activities. By identifying skilled women and linking them to these industries, their economic condition can be improved significantly.
Additionally, the CM also mentioned the use of CSR funds for the construction of Anganwadi centers and also stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of women during the Navratri festival by using drones and CCTV for surveillance.
