Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme provides financial support of Rs 6,000 annually to landholding farmers. This amount is distributed in three equal installments throughout the year. With the release of the 18th installment, the total amount disbursed under the scheme has crossed Rs 3.45 lakh crore, benefiting more than 11 crore farmers across the country.
In Maharashtra, approximately 91.51 lakh farmers will receive over Rs 1,900 crore as part of this installment, which is expected to contribute significantly to the state’s growth of agriculture.
To continue receiving the PM-KISAN installments, farmers must ensure that their e-KYC (Know Your Customer) details are updated. The process can be done easily online or by visiting the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric verification.
