Farmers in Bihar can now benefit from a significant subsidy on high-quality seeds for Rabi crops, such as wheat, gram, mustard, lentil, and peas. As the Kharif crops are nearing harvest, preparations are being made for the next sowing season. The government aims to support farmers with better-quality seeds at an affordable rate through various schemes.
Farmers can easily apply online to receive these seeds on subsidy, and the state government also offers home delivery services for their convenience.

After submitting their online application, it will be verified by the Agriculture Coordinator, Block Agriculture Officer, and District Agriculture Officer. Once the application is approved, the farmer will receive an OTP, which they will need to provide to the designated seed seller in their area. Farmers will then pay only the remaining amount after the subsidy is deducted from the total seed cost.
Farmers can also opt for home delivery when applying online. If they choose this option, the seeds will be delivered to their doorstep. A delivery fee of ₹2 per kilogram will apply for wheat, and ₹5 per kilogram for other crops.
For more details on the scheme, farmers can contact their local agriculture coordinator, block agriculture officer, or district agriculture officer.
