The Haryana government is preparing to launch a new welfare scheme called the Lado Lakshmi YojanaThis initiative aims to empower and support women in the state by providing them with financial assistance of ₹2,100 per month.

What Is the Lado Lakshmi Yojana?

This scheme, announced in the state’s election manifesto, will benefit women by depositing ₹2,100 into their bank accounts every month. Over a year, eligible women can receive ₹25,200. Haryana’s Chief Minister, Naib Singh Saini, recently discussed this plan during the winter session of the Legislative Assembly, assuring citizens that the government is committed to implementing the scheme soon.

Who Can Benefit?

The scheme targets women in need, particularly those from economically weaker sections. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a resident of Haryana.
  • Belonging to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family.
  • Be between 18 to 60 years of age.
  • Have a bank account linked to the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Required Documents

To apply for the scheme, eligible women will need:

  • Aadhaar card.
  • BPL card.
  • Passport-sized photo.
  • Bank account details.
  • Residence and caste certificates.
  • Family income proof.

How to Apply?

The state government plans to set up an online portal for registration under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. While the application process has not started yet, the government assures women that the portal will be launched soon. Stay updated for further announcements.

Other Welfare Schemes for Women in Haryana

Haryana runs several other programs to uplift and empower women, such as:

  1. Mukhyamantri Mahila Shramik Samman Yojana: Provides ₹5,100 annually to registered women workers.
  2. Kanyadan Yojana: Offers ₹50,000 for the marriage of daughters of registered workers.
  3. Your Daughter, Our Daughter Scheme: Invests ₹21,000 for the education or marriage of daughters from Scheduled Caste or BPL families.
  4. Chief Minister's Milk Gift Scheme: Supplies 200 ml of fortified milk daily to pregnant and lactating women.
  5. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana: Gives ₹5,000 in three installments to pregnant and lactating mothers.

The Lado Lakshmi Yojana reflects the government’s efforts to empower women financially and socially. It is expected to bring significant relief to women in Haryana.
