During the 2023-24 Kharif season, Chhattisgarh witnessed the procurement of 144.92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 24.72 lakh farmers, amounting to Rs 31,914 crore. Of this sum, Rs 13,320 crore was disbursed as bonuses, highlighting the government's commitment to farmer welfare.
