Lakhpati Didi Yojana is a central government scheme that empowers rural women by providing financial assistance for self-employment. This initiative encourages women in self-help groups (SHGs) to earn more than Rs 1 lakh annually through entrepreneurship. Women receive interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh to start or expand their businesses.
Now, the state government plans to connect women from the Ladli Behna Yojana with the Lakhpati Didi Yojana. Under this, financial aid will be provided to help women start shops, businesses, or other income-generating activities.
Women enrolled in the Ladli Behna Yojana will be grouped into self-help groups, each consisting of at least 10 women. These groups must create a business plan and submit it to the government. Officials from the Lakhpati Didi Yojana will review the proposals, and upon approval, the group will receive an interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh. This financial support will help Ladli Behna women start their businesses and achieve financial independence.
