The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a Rs 2,000 per hectare bonus for farmers cultivating paddy. This decision will benefit many farmers across the state, especially small and economically weaker ones. The bonus will be transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts this year. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made this announcement while unveiling a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the Umaria district.

The state government will also provide a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal on wheat. Wheat farmers will be paid Rs 2,600 per quintal, including the bonus. The Central Government has set the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat for 2025–26 at Rs 2,425 per quintal, and the state will pay an additional Rs 175.
Farmers will receive solar pumps for irrigation, allowing them to produce electricity and irrigate crops 24/7 without paying electricity bills. The Center and the state government will each cover 30% of the pump's cost. Farmers will pay 10% out of pocket and can get loans for the remaining 30%. The government plans to install 52,000 solar pumps and has already issued tenders.

Under the PM Kusum Yojana, the government will sign Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with 169 farmers, enabling them to set up 100 MW solar power plants. These farmers can sell electricity to the government at Rs 3.25 per unit. Agreements will be finalized on February 21 and 22, 2025.
Dairy farmers will also benefit, as the government will pay a bonus of Rs 5 per liter of milk purchased from registered dairy farmers. This initiative aims to improve the income of cattle-rearing farmers.

The government will provide Rs 40 per day to care for destitute and helpless cows in new cow shelters. Farmers raising 10 or more cows will receive special grants to help with fodder and water costs.
A 600 MW thermal power unit will be established in Pauri village.
A new zoo will be built near Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Two new bridges will be constructed in Umaria district for Rs 45 crore and Rs 32 crore.
Astro turf will be developed for hockey training.
A new college will be constructed in Bilaspur.
Roads will be built in villages with populations of 250 or more.
A campaign will be launched to provide permanent houses for the poor.
Regional Industries Conclaves are being organized to boost youth employment.
The Global Investors Summit will be held in Bhopal on January 24 and 25, with PM Modi attending.
Geeta Bhawans will be built in every city to promote spiritual activities for the state’s residents.
These initiatives aim to boost farmers and residents economic and social conditions across Madhya Pradesh.
