The Madhya Pradesh government has released the 15th installment of the Chief Minister's Ladli Behna Yojana, a popular scheme that supports women financially. This installment, totaling Rs 1897 crore, has been transferred to the bank accounts of approximately 1.29 crore women beneficiaries across the state. In honor of Rakshabandhan, an additional amount of Rs 250 has been included in this installment, bringing the total amount to Rs 1500 (Rs 1250 + Rs 250).
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the release of the funds during a program in Sheopur district. The money was sent directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring quick and transparent disbursement.
