The Koovappady Block Panchayat, located in the heart of Kerala, recently completed an eight-day training session under the Mahila Kisan Saktheekaran Pariyojana. The main aim of this training session is to strengthen women in the agricultural sector. The block panchayat officials sponsored this project to ensure women's active engagement in farming and agricultural activities.

A group of 20 motivated ladies from the Koovappady block panchayat participated in this one-of-a-kind training program. The training was divided into two batches of ten women each, all eager to learn the ins and outs of tractor operating and other important farming skills.

The training sessions at Kodanad Baselios Public School saw a wonderful demonstration of dedication and passion on the part of the participants. Officials from the block panchayat praised the women for their unwavering dedication to learning the skills required for tractor driving and other agricultural tasks.

The Mahila Kisan Saktheekaran Pariyojana has not only given these women new skills, but it has also given them opportunities to actively contribute to the agricultural landscape of Koovappady. This campaign emphasizes the significance of women's participation in farming and empowers them to be self-sufficient contributors to the agricultural industry.

These ladies are now set to make a difference in agriculture after successfully completing their program. Block panchayat officials are planning to use them for ploughing and other farming tasks in the area.

A millet garden is expected to take root at Baselios Public School, further demonstrating the women's commitment to sustainable agriculture. The newly trained ladies will be required for ploughing and other linked chores to set up and manage the garden.

This program's success is an inspiring example of how communities may work together to promote gender equality and economic independence. As these ladies prepare to start farming, they serve as a brilliant example of the untapped potential that women bring to the agricultural sector.

The Koovappady Block Panchayat is clearly leading the way in ensuring that women's perspectives and efforts in agriculture are recognized and valued. This initiative acts as a ray of hope and empowerment for women in agriculture across the country, not just in Koovappady.

The Koovappady Block Panchayat's remarkable initiative under the Mahila Kisan Saktheekaran Pariyojana is a true example of how local governance can bring change and promote gender equality. As these women return to their fields with new skills and determination, they carry the promise of a brighter and more equal future for rural Kerala.
