Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, is now the Union Agriculture Minister. Right after taking on this new role, Chauhan showed he was ready to work. He held a big meeting with senior officials to discuss his plans. He told them to focus on helping farmers. In this meeting, Chauhan created a 100-day action plan to support farmers across the country.

During his time as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Chauhan introduced many successful schemes for farmers. One of these was the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana, which continues to benefit farmers. He also launched the Ladli Behna Yojana to help women in farming families, providing financial aid that played a significant role in elections.
Given his past success, many believe Chauhan will introduce new and beneficial schemes for farmers nationwide as the Union Agriculture Minister.
In the meeting, Chauhan gave clear instructions to his officials. He told them to focus on farmer-oriented work to boost the country's agriculture sector. He emphasized the need to work quickly and follow Prime Minister Modi's vision. Chauhan also asked officials to understand and address farmer’s problems, ensuring quality fertilizers, seeds, and other inputs are available to them.
Chauhan highlighted the importance of increasing agricultural production and productivity. He wants India not only to meet its own needs but also to export high-quality agricultural products. The action plan he discussed aims to make sure farmers face no problems and get the support they need.
While serving as Chief Minister, Chauhan launched many schemes for farmers. These include the Ladli Behna Yojana, which provides Rs 1,250 directly to eligible women each month. This scheme started just before the assembly elections and has been very successful.
In addition to this, Chauhan started the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana to support farmers financially. Under this scheme, farmers receive three installments of Rs 2,000 each year, similar to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Combined, farmers in Madhya Pradesh get Rs 12,000 annually from both schemes.
