Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a prominent leader from Madhya Pradesh, has been given the important roles of Minister of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare and Minister of Rural Development. Chouhan, who has served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh four times, is well-known in the state and is affectionately called 'Mamaji' and 'Bhaiya' by the people.
Born in 1959 in Jait village, Chouhan comes from a farming family. This background gives him a deep understanding of agricultural issues. He started his political journey with the RSS and in student politics, becoming a key leader in Madhya Pradesh during the 1970s and 1980s.
Now, Chouhan will oversee both the Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Ministry and the Rural Development Ministry. This shows the government's focus on improving both farming and rural areas together. His experience and knowledge are expected to help bring significant progress and positive changes.
The ceremonial oath-taking event at Rashtrapati Bhavan highlighted the importance of Chouhan's new role. The agricultural community and people living in rural areas are hopeful that his initiatives will improve the welfare of farmers and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
