The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred Rs 6982 crore to the bank accounts of 6.69 lakh paddy farmers for the sale of their crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the Kharif marketing season 2024–25. The remaining farmers will also receive their payments soon. Authorities have stated that pending payments will be completed within a week.

Paddy Procurement in Madhya Pradesh

According to official data, more than 43 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured from registered farmers. The state government initiated paddy procurement on December 2, 2024, after the registration process began in September. To facilitate smooth transactions, 1393 procurement centers were set up across the state.

MSP Rates for Paddy

The government has purchased paddy at the MSP set by the central government for the 2024–25 Kharif marketing season. The rates are:

• Rs 2300 per quintal for common-grade paddy
• Rs 2320 per quintal for grade-A paddy

How Farmers Can Check Payment Status

Farmers who want to verify whether they have received their payments can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official e-Uparjan Madhya Pradesh portal: mpeuparjan.nic.in
2. Click on "Kharif Procurement 2024–25."
3. Select "Farmer Registration Search (Paddy)."
4. Enter required details such as district, farmer code, and mobile numbers.
5. Complete the captcha verification.
6. Click on "Purchase and Payment Status."
7. The page will display details of the paddy purchased and payment status.

Wheat Procurement Registration for 2025–26

Wheat procurement registration is ongoing for the upcoming Rabi marketing season 2025–26. As per Madhya Pradesh Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Rajput, 66,077 farmers have registered so far. The last date for registration is March 31, 2025.

The district-wise registration figures include:

• Sehore: 12,596 farmers
• Indore: 9,381 farmers
• Dhar: 4,202 farmers
• Bhopal: 1,975 farmers
• Raisen: 1,969 farmers
• Narmadapuram: 1,793 farmers

For the 2025–26 Rabi season, the MSP for wheat has been set at Rs 2425 per quintal, which is Rs 150 higher than the previous year. This increase ensures that farmers will receive additional financial benefits from wheat sales.
