The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred Rs 6982 crore to the bank accounts of 6.69 lakh paddy farmers for the sale of their crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the Kharif marketing season 2024–25. The remaining farmers will also receive their payments soon. Authorities have stated that pending payments will be completed within a week.

According to official data, more than 43 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured from registered farmers. The state government initiated paddy procurement on December 2, 2024, after the registration process began in September. To facilitate smooth transactions, 1393 procurement centers were set up across the state.

Wheat procurement registration is ongoing for the upcoming Rabi marketing season 2025–26. As per Madhya Pradesh Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Rajput, 66,077 farmers have registered so far. The last date for registration is March 31, 2025.
For the 2025–26 Rabi season, the MSP for wheat has been set at Rs 2425 per quintal, which is Rs 150 higher than the previous year. This increase ensures that farmers will receive additional financial benefits from wheat sales.
