The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the retail tractor sales data for November 2024, highlighting impressive growth compared to November 2023. A total of 80,519 tractors were sold in November 2024, a significant increase from the 61,996 units sold during the same month last year. This growth underscores the robust demand for tractors across India.

Below is a table showing the Tractor OEM market share for November 2024 compared to November 2023:
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited led the market with 19,526 tractors sold, capturing a market share of 24.25%. This is an increase from November 2023, when they sold 14,487 units and held a 23.37% market share.
Swaraj, a division of Mahindra, achieved sales of 14,696 units in November 2024, securing an 18.25% market share. While this is a rise in unit sales from 11,495 in November 2023, their market share slightly declined from 18.54%.
The parent company of Sonalika Tractors, International Tractors Limited, recorded sales of 10,858 units in November 2024, holding a 13.49% market share. This marks an increase from the 8,293 units sold in November 2023, when they held a 13.38% market share.
TAFE Limited, makers of Massey Ferguson Tractors, sold 9,383 units in November 2024, representing an 11.65% market share. This is a slight drop from their 11.67% market share in November 2023, despite their sales of 7,234 units that year.
Escorts Kubota sold 7,395 units in November 2024, capturing a 9.18% market share. This reflects a decline from their 10.12% market share in November 2023, when they sold 6,272 units.
John Deere witnessed strong growth in November 2024, selling 5,982 tractors and achieving a market share of 7.43%. This is an improvement from the 4,423 units sold in November 2023, when their market share stood at 7.13%.
Eicher Tractors reported sales of 5,557 units in November 2024, with a 6.90% market share. This represents a drop from the 7.30% market share they held in November 2023, with 4,526 units sold.
CNH Industrial, makers of New Holland tractors, sold 3,102 units in November 2024, holding a market share of 3.85%. This is a slight increase from their 3.77% market share in November 2023, with sales of 2,338 units.
Kubota Agricultural Machinery India recorded sales of 1,273 units in November 2024, representing a 1.58% market share. This is a small decline from their 1.63% market share in November 2023, when they sold 1,008 units.
Other brands collectively accounted for 2,747 units sold in November 2024, capturing a 3.41% market share. This is an increase from 1,920 units and a 3.10% market share in November 2023.

The Indian tractor market experienced strong growth in November 2024, with an overall increase in sales volume. Mahindra & Mahindra continued its dominance, while brands like John Deere and International Tractors showcased notable improvements. However, brands like Escorts Kubota and Eicher Tractors faced slight market share declines despite overall growth in sales numbers.
This steady growth reflects positive market trends and rising demand for agricultural machinery in India.
