The domestic tractor industry in November 2024 witnessed a 1.33% decline in sales compared to the same period last year. A total of 71,300 tractors were sold, compared to 72,259 units in November 2023. While some manufacturers recorded positive growth, others faced significant challenges, impacting the overall industry performance.

M&M Group (Mahindra Tractors) sold 31,746 units in November 2024, registering a growth of 2.18% compared to 31,069 units in November 2023. Its market share increased from 43.00% to 44.52%, marking an improvement of 1.53%. M&M Group continues to dominate the domestic tractor market, solidifying its position as the leading manufacturer.

Tafe Group recorded sales of 11,918 units in November 2024, a slight decline of 1.61% from 12,113 units last year. Its market share also reduced marginally from 16.76% to 16.72%, a drop of 0.05%. Despite the minor setbacks, Tafe remains a key player in the industry.

Sonalika reported a sharp 14.37% decline in sales, selling 8,812 units in November 2024 compared to 10,291 units last year. Its market share fell from 14.24% to 12.36%, a decrease of 1.88%. The decline highlights the brand's struggle to maintain its market position this month.
Escorts Kubota sold 8,730 units in November 2024, down by 8.13% from 9,503 units in November 2023. Its market share dropped from 13.15% to 12.24%, reflecting a decrease of 0.91%. The brand’s performance indicates challenges in retaining its market presence.

John Deere emerged as one of the top performers, with sales of 5,508 units in November 2024, a remarkable 20.60% increase from 4,567 units in November 2023. Its market share grew from 6.32% to 7.73%, an improvement of 1.40%. This growth highlights the brand’s increasing popularity among farmers.
New Holland sold 3,014 units in November 2024, slightly below the 3,076 units sold in November 2023, registering a decline of 2.02%. Its market share dipped marginally from 4.26% to 4.23%, a reduction of 0.03%. The brand continues to hold its position with a stable performance.
Preet recorded sales of 373 units in November 2024, an 18.02% drop from 455 units last year. Its market share decreased from 0.63% to 0.52%, a decline of 0.11%. The significant drop indicates challenges faced by the brand in maintaining sales momentum.
Indo Farm sold 362 units in November 2024, a steep decline of 21.30% from 460 units in November 2023. Its market share dropped from 0.64% to 0.51%, a decrease of 0.13%. The figures reflect the brand's struggle to compete effectively in the market.
VST recorded a 24.02% increase in sales, selling 284 units in November 2024 compared to 229 units last year. Its market share grew from 0.32% to 0.40%, an improvement of 0.08%. The growth reflects the brand’s rising demand among farmers seeking compact and efficient tractors.
ACE sold 257 units in November 2024, a decline of 5.51% from 272 units last year. Its market share slightly reduced from 0.38% to 0.36%, a drop of 0.02%. Despite the decrease, ACE remains a reliable choice for its durable tractor models.
Captain achieved the highest growth rate among all manufacturers, selling 234 units in November 2024, a 38.46% increase from 169 units last year. Its market share rose from 0.23% to 0.33%, a gain of 0.09%. The brand’s strong performance highlights its growing popularity.
SDF sold 62 tractors in November 2024, a 12.73% increase from 55 units last year. Its market share grew from 0.08% to 0.09%, an increase of 0.01%. While the sales volume is small, SDF showed consistent progress.

The domestic tractor industry saw a mixed performance in November 2024. While the overall sales dropped by 1.33%, brands like John Deere, VST, Captain, and SDF achieved notable growth. On the other hand, brands like Sonalika, Escorts Kubota, and Indo Farm faced challenges, reflecting the competitive nature of the industry.
