Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), a major player in the agri-machinery industry, announced its tractor sales for November 2024. The company reported total sales of 8,974 units, marking a 9.4% decline compared to 9,906 units sold in November last year.

Domestic Sales Performance

In November 2024, Escorts Kubota sold 8,730 tractors in the domestic market, a decrease of 8.1% compared to 9,503 units in November 2023. The company stated that this decline was due to major festive days being celebrated in October this year, which impacted November’s numbers.

However, there’s a silver lining. Domestic sales for the September-November quarter grew by 9%, with 38,554 tractors sold compared to 35,387 in the same period last year.

Export Sales Drop Significantly

Exports saw a sharp decline, with only 244 tractors shipped in November 2024. This is a 39.5% drop from the 403 units exported in the same month last year.

Year-to-Date Sales (April–November)

For the first eight months of FY 2024, Escorts Kubota recorded total sales of 83,449 units, a slight dip of 0.1% compared to 83,513 units during the same period last year.

• Domestic Sales: 80,746 units were sold, a 1.4% increase from 79,640 units in FY 2023.
• Export Sales: Exports dropped significantly by 30.2%, with only 2,703 units sold compared to 3,873 in the previous year.
