How Much Subsidy is Available?

Under the PM Kusum Yojana, farmers get a 60% subsidy on solar pumps. SC and ST farmers receive an additional subsidy of Rs 45,000. This subsidy applies to solar pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP. Farmers can also install 10 HP solar pumps but will receive subsidies only up to 7.5 HP.

Who Can Benefit?

According to the Deputy Director of the Horticulture Department, farmers with at least 0.40 hectares of agricultural land and a source of irrigation can apply. This benefit is for farmers who have not previously received a subsidy for solar pumps and do not have an agricultural electricity connection.

Solar Pumps Based on Land Area

Farmers can install different HP solar pumps based on their land size:

  • 3 HP solar pump for 0.4 hectares of land
  • 5 HP solar pump for 0.75 hectares of land
  • 7.5 HP solar pump for 1 hectare of land
  • 10 HP solar pump for 1.5 hectares of land

Required Documents

To apply for the scheme, farmers need:

  • Aadhar card
  • Janaadhar card
  • Land jamabandi
  • Nazri map (digital signature or patwari certified)
  • Certified water source certificate
  • Online self-declaration of not having an agricultural electricity connection

How to Apply Online

Farmers in Churu, Rajasthan, can apply for the PM Kusum Yojana online. Visit the official website of PM Kusum Yojana. Those who can't apply online can visit the nearest E-Mitra Center for assistance.

Selection Process

The Horticulture Department will review online applications. Eligible files will be sent to the farmer’s selected firm for a technical survey report. If the report is approved, administrative approval will be given. Farmers must then deposit their share of the cost on the Raj Kisan Sathi portal. After payment, a work order will be issued, and the firm must install the solar pump within 90 days. Finally, the departmental committee will verify the installation and the subsidy amount will be paid to the firm.
