The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and AVPL International have signed an important agreement to create 70 Skills and Incubation Hubs in India. These hubs will focus on providing training and job opportunities in the fields of drones, the Internet of Things (IoT), agriculture, and related sectors.
"We are excited to partner with AVPL International to bring advanced training facilities and globally recognized certification programs to the youth," said Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC. "This initiative will not only enhance vocational training but also position India as a leader in global skill development."
The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in various high-tech and agricultural sectors. By providing specialized training, the initiative seeks to equip young people with the necessary skills to secure employment both domestically and internationally.
As part of this partnership, AVPL International will also improve training facilities at 50 existing locations. These will be upgraded to Global Skills and Incubation Hubs (GISH) across 12 Indian states. These hubs will offer courses from top institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) through the NSDC Academy. They will also offer dual certification programs with international accreditation, helping students gain valuable skills for global job markets.
These upgraded facilities will feature the latest equipment and training modules designed to provide hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies. This will ensure that students are not only theoretically proficient but also practically skilled, making them more competitive in the job market.

The training programs will cover advanced fields such as drone technology, IoT, agriculture, and allied sectors. The goal is to train 1,40,000 candidates each year, providing them with IIT-certified courses and internationally recognized certifications.
