The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and AVPL International have signed an important agreement to create 70 Skills and Incubation Hubs in India. These hubs will focus on providing training and job opportunities in the fields of drones, the Internet of Things (IoT), agriculture, and related sectors.
"We are excited to partner with AVPL International to bring advanced training facilities and globally recognized certification programs to the youth," said Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC. "This initiative will not only enhance vocational training but also position India as a leader in global skill development."
The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in various high-tech and agricultural sectors. By providing specialized training, the initiative seeks to equip young people with the necessary skills to secure employment both domestically and internationally.
As part of this partnership, AVPL International will also improve training facilities at 50 existing locations. These will be upgraded to Global Skills and Incubation Hubs (GISH) across 12 Indian states. These hubs will offer courses from top institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) through the NSDC Academy. They will also offer dual certification programs with international accreditation, helping students gain valuable skills for global job markets.
These upgraded facilities will feature the latest equipment and training modules designed to provide hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies. This will ensure that students are not only theoretically proficient but also practically skilled, making them more competitive in the job market.
"We are thrilled to embark on this transformative journey with NSDC to establish 70 Skills and Incubation Hubs across India. This initiative will not only uplift the local workforce but also set a new benchmark in Drone, IoT, Agriculture, and allied sectors training, enabling Indian youth to compete on a global stage," said Deep Sihag Sisai, Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International. "We are especially thankful to Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, for his mentorship and guidance in this initiative."
The collaboration between NSDC and AVPL International underscores a shared commitment to empower the youth of India. By providing access to high-quality training and internationally recognized certifications, this initiative aims to significantly enhance the employability of Indian youth.
The training programs will cover advanced fields such as drone technology, IoT, agriculture, and allied sectors. The goal is to train 1,40,000 candidates each year, providing them with IIT-certified courses and internationally recognized certifications.
These programs will include comprehensive courses in drone piloting, IoT device management, modern agricultural techniques, and other allied skills. The curriculum will be designed in collaboration with industry experts to ensure it meets the current and future demands of the job market.
The agreement was signed by Ved Mani Tiwari and Deep Sihag Sisai, who both emphasized their commitment to improving the skills and employability of the Indian workforce. This collaboration highlights the shared vision of NSDC and AVPL International to drive economic growth through better training and education.
This initiative is a significant step towards creating more job opportunities and improving the skills of young people in India. By focusing on high-demand sectors like drones and IoT, the program aims to position India as a global leader in these fields.
The establishment of these hubs will not only benefit the individual trainees but also contribute to the broader economic development of the regions where they are located. By creating a skilled workforce, the initiative will attract more investments and spur innovation in the targeted sectors.
Overall, the collaboration between NSDC and AVPL International represents a forward-thinking approach to vocational training and employment. It holds the promise of transforming the lives of thousands of young Indians, providing them with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving global job market.
