In a move aimed at reducing the financial burden on farmers, the Telangana state government has announced a comprehensive loan waiver scheme. Under this scheme, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has assured that the outstanding loans of farmers, up to Rs 2 lakh, will be waived off. The announcement comes as a ray of hope for farmers grappling with economic distress, providing relief to thousands across the state.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the loan waiver process will commence as soon as the code of conduct, currently in place, concludes in June. With the commitment to fulfill this promise, the government aims to complete the loan waiver before the auspicious occasion of August 15.
