In a major relief to farmers affected by adverse weather conditions, the Haryana government has transferred a bonus of Rs 368 crore directly into farmer’s accounts. This compensation aims to help farmers recover from crop losses caused by unpredictable weather during the Kharif-2024 season.

Who is Eligible for the Bonus?

The compensation has been given to farmers whose crops were damaged due to extreme weather conditions. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini emphasized that the government is committed to prioritizing farmer’s welfare. He stated, "To support our farmers during these challenging times, we have decided to provide Rs 2,000 per acre for horticultural crops affected by adverse weather."

Other Benefits for Farmers

The Haryana government has also introduced several other initiatives to empower farmers:

  1. Ownership Rights for Leased Land: Farmers who have been cultivating leased or Shamlat land for over 20 years have been granted ownership rights.
  2. Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment: A subsidy of Rs 122 crore has been provided for 10,393 agricultural machines to help manage crop residue effectively.
  3. Compensation for Land Under Power Lines: Farmers will receive 200% compensation for land used for high-tension power towers and 30% compensation for land under power lines.
  4. Fodder Subsidy for Cattle Shelters: An amount of Rs 216.25 crore has been released to support cow shelters in the state.

How to Check if Compensation Has Been Credited

Farmers registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal can easily check if the bonus amount has been transferred to their accounts. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the official Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal.
  2. Go to the Kisan Corner and click on Payment Status.
  3. Enter your registered mobile number and verify the captcha code.
  4. Check the payment status to see if the bonus has been credited.

Farmers can also verify the payment through:

  • SMS alerts on their registered mobile number.
  • Bank passbook entries or a mini statement from an ATM.

What should you do if Compensation is Not Received?

If the bonus amount has not been credited despite proper registration, farmers can contact the Meri Fasal Mera Byora toll-free helpline at 1800-180-2117 (available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM).
