It is the most significant decision that the Government took in the interest of the farmers pursuing mustard farming.
Chief Secretary emphasized that Haryana will produce 50,800 tons of sunflower, 14,14,710 tons of mustard, 26,320 tons of gram, and 33,600 tons of summer moong.
The Haryana Government is taking steps to increase the facilities for the farmers across the state of Haryana. In the Rabi reason, it will purchase crops like mustard, gram, sunflower, and Moong at a Minimum Support Price.
It will benefit farmers engaged in selling their agricultural produce across the market. It is the most significant decision that the Government took in the interest of the farmers pursuing mustard farming.
Sanjeev Kaushal, the State Chief Secretary, announced the decision to purchase rabi crops at an MSP. Furthermore, he added that shops from five districts will supply sunflower oil from March to get the right price in the market.
In a meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized that Haryana will produce 50,800 tons of sunflower, 14,14,710 tons of mustard, 26,320 tons of gram, and 33,600 tons of summer moong. There was also an order circulated that Haryana State Warehousing Corporation, the Food and Supplies Department, and HAFED mandis would be responsible for preparations for commencing procurement of mustard, summer moong, gram, and sunflower.

The government decided to acquire mustard by the last week of March for Rs 5,650 per quintal. Similarly, there would also be a purchase for Gram for Rs 5,440 per quintal. From May 15, the purchase of summer moong will take place at Rs 8,440 per quintal. For sunflower crops, the purchase will happen between 1 June and 15 June for Rs 6760 per quintal.
A Strict Warning for Negligence of Protocols
The state gave a strict warning that there would be serious consequences for those who failed to comply with the orders of the state. Furthermore, it also issued that the purchaser must furnish the payment within three days of making a purchase. This strictness by the State Government will ensure that farmers get the desired compensation for the effort they put into the production of the crops.
