In an effort to extend essential services to citizens, the Indian government, in collaboration with states and union territories, has launched the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra

The Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a nationwide campaign designed to identify and assist those who may be unaware of their entitlements or face challenges accessing government services. The initiative, which is a collaborative effort between the central government and various states and union territories, seeks to create awareness, streamline processes, and facilitate the seamless delivery of benefits to the deserving population.

The Yatra will raise awareness about these programs, communicate with beneficiaries through personal experiences, and enrol potential beneficiaries based on information gathered during the Yatra.

The East Singhbhum area in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, is planned to employ advanced drone technology for farming activities as part of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Drones will be used to spray pesticides and urea on fields precisely and effectively, with the goal of improving agricultural practices in the region.

By adopting drones, the district aims to optimize resource utilization and minimize wastage. Crops targeted by the program include potatoes, peas, wheat, maize, mustard, and pigeon peas.

The use of drones ensures uniform coverage of pesticides and nutrients. Precision spraying reduces environmental impact and enhances crop health. Farmers can expect increased yields and improved overall productivity.

The district administration has created a complete training schedule for farmers to help with the deployment of drone technology in farming. The course will cover the fundamentals of drone operation and maintenance, as well as how to use drones to administer pesticides and urea in a safe and effective manner.

The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) is an important partner in this program, providing farmers with information and training on drone technology. IFFCO is a well-known cooperative society that manufactures and distributes chemical fertilizers as well as markets agricultural-related products. The organization is well-known for its initiatives related to farmer and cooperative empowerment.

The District Agriculture Officer, Mithlesh Kalindi, stated that this initiative is in alignment with the aim of a "Developed India." It represents a step forward in the district's adoption of modern agriculture technologies.

The initiative is not limited to spreading awareness alone; it also involves setting up facilitation centres to assist citizens in the application process for various government schemes. These centres aim to simplify procedures, making it easier for individuals to access the benefits they are entitled to.

Key government officials have expressed their commitment to making Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra a positive change. By identifying and addressing the challenges faced by farmers in availing themselves of government services, the initiative aims to enhance the overall well-being of the population and contribute to the nation's development.

In summary, the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s foray into drone technology promises a greener, more productive future for farmers.
