Domestic tractor sales have registered a significant growth in November 2023, registering a growth of 6.81% compared to the same period in 2022.

The Indian tractor market continues to witness robust growth, with November 2023 showcasing impressive sales figures. According to the latest domestic tractor sales report, manufacturers of top tractor brands have increased their sales volumes, which is contributing to the upliftment of the tractor industry.

Mahindra Tractors: Leading the Way

In November 2023, Mahindra tractor sales reached 31,069 units, reflecting a 6.47% growth compared to the same period last year. Additionally, Mahindra exported 1,005 tractors to international markets.

Mr. Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at M&M Ltd., attributed this success to several factors:

Tafe Group: Steady Growth

The Tafe group recorded 12,113 domestic tractor sales in November 2023, marking a 7.06% increase from the previous year (11,314 units in November 2022).

Sonalika Tractors: A Remarkable Surge

Sonalika, a popular tractor brand, witnessed remarkable growth. Domestic sales increased to 10,291 units in November 2023, up 30.76% compared to November 2022 (7,870 units).

Escorts Tractors: Remarkable Growth

Escorts, a prominent player in the Indian tractor market, has reported robust sales figures for November 2023. The company’s domestic tractor sales reached 7,855 units, marking a significant 6.74% increase compared to the same period last year (7,359 units in November 2022).

John Deere: A Decrease in sales

John Deere, another well-known tractor brand, experienced a different route. Their sales volume in November 2023 stood at 4,567 units, reflecting a 13.09% decrease from November 2022 (5,255 units).

New Holland: Accelerating Growth

New Holland, on the other hand, witnessed remarkable growth. Their sales increased to 3,076 units in November 2023, representing a solid 31.90% hike compared to November 2022 (2,332 units).

Kubota: Challenging Month

Kubota faced challenges, with domestic sales totalling 1,648 units in November 2023, down by 23.60% from November 2022 (2,157 units).

Indo Farm: An Unfavorable Month

Indo Farm’s domestic tractor sales declined to 460 units in November 2023, compared to 516 units in the same month last year, reflecting a 10.85% decrease.

Preet Tractors: Steady Growth

Preet Tractors, a renowned made-in-India brand, achieved steady growth. They sold 455 units in November 2023, showing a 4.60% increase from November 2022 (435 units).

ACE Tractors: A Marginal Decline

ACE Tractors recorded 272 units in November 2023, slightly lower than the 280 units in November 2022, resulting in a 2.86% decline.

VST: A Significant Decrease

VST, another player in the tractor industry, faced a solid decrease. Their domestic sales dropped to 229 units in November 2023, down by 47.84% from November 2022 (439 units).

Captain Tractors: A Steeper Decline

Captain Tractors experienced a sharp decline in sales. Their domestic sales decreased to 169 units in November 2023, compared to 404 units in November 2022, reflecting a 58.17% decline in sales.

SDF: A Major Drop in Sales

SDF sold 55 tractor units in November 2023, down from 114 units in November 2022, indicating a 51.75% drop.

The tractor industry remains dynamic, with each brand navigating a unique market intensity. As we approach the end of the year, these sales trends will continue to shape the landscape of agricultural machinery in India.
