The Haryana government has taken this step to assist farmers, especially in Jind and Rewari districts, where crops were damaged due to extreme weather. In Jind, crops were affected in villages like Aasan, Kharkaramji, Chabri, Nepawala, Koyal, Bahadurpur, and Sandeel due to rain on February 20. Similarly, in Rewari, hailstorms on February 23 damaged wheat and mustard crops in over 60 villages, including Dhani Shobha, Bhalkhi Majra, Khori, and Badharana.
Farmers must report their crop damage on the portal within 72 hours of the incident. After registration, officials from the insurance company and agriculture department will assess the damage. Compensation will be given based on the percentage of crop loss.
