The government has made it easier to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Now, you can register for this scheme from your home using a mobile app. The scheme aims to provide pucca houses to poor families living in kutcha houses in rural areas of Rajasthan. The last date to apply is March 31, 2025.

Who Can Benefit from PM Awas Yojana?

According to Gaurav Budania, Chief Executive Officer of Sawai Madhopur District Council, many people have already benefited from this scheme. However, some families are still deprived. The following groups will get priority:

• Families without a house or living in kutcha houses

• People living in rented houses for years

• Homeless, destitute, and beggars

• Manual scavengers

• Tribal community members

• Legally freed bonded laborers

A survey with geo-tagging will be conducted to collect the Aadhaar card, job card, and bank account details of eligible beneficiaries. If a female member is present in the family, she will be the primary beneficiary.

Who is Not Eligible for the Scheme?

The following people cannot apply for PMAY:

• Families owning a motorized three-wheeler or four-wheeler

• Owners of mechanized agricultural equipment

• Families with a Kisan Credit Card limit of Rs 50,000 or more

• Government employees

• Income taxpayers

• Families with a monthly income above Rs 15,000

• Owners of 2.5 acres or more agricultural land

Subsidy and Financial Assistance

Under the scheme, beneficiaries will receive a total financial aid of Rs 1,55,940:

• Rs 1,20,000 in three installments for house construction

• Rs 23,940 under MNREGA for 90 days of labor if the house is self-built

• Rs 12,000 for constructing a toilet

How to Apply for PMAY Using a Mobile App?

The Aawas App has been launched for online registration. Follow these steps to apply:

1. Open your browser and visit pmayg.nic.in

2. Click on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin

3. Go to Awas Yojana Plus 2024 Survey

4. Download the Aawas App Plus 2024 and Aadhaar Face ID App

5. Open the app and go to Self Survey

6. Enter your Aadhaar number and click on Authenticate

7. Complete KYC by scanning your face

8. Set a four-digit PIN and login

9. Go to Add or Edit Survey

10. Fill in all the required details

11. Upload two photographs of your kutcha house

12. Select desired construction option for a permanent house

13. Review the Application Preview and submit it

By completing these steps, your PM Awas Yojana registration will be successfully done from your mobile.
