This time, the theme of the fair is 'Prosperous farmers through agricultural entrepreneurship'. In this regard, he further said that the main attraction of the fair will be providing seeds of Pusa Basmati varieties to the farmers. Along with this, many kinds of stalls will also be arranged at the fair.

Which varieties of crops will farmers get enough seeds for?

Dr. Ashok Kumar said that quality seeds of improved varieties of various crops developed by Pusa Institute are given to the farmers every year. This year, Pusa Institute is providing seeds of many newly developed varieties of paddy like Pusa Basmati 112, Pusa Basmati 1509, Pusa Basmati 1718, Pusa Basmati 1847, Pusa Basmati 1850, Pusa Basmati 1886 and Pusa Basmati 1728, and Pusa Basmati 1692 to the farmers. Sufficient quantity will be available.

Last year, due to the low quantity of seeds, seeds of Basmati paddy varieties were given in limited quantities at the Pusa Agricultural Science Fair. These farmers faced many difficulties. But this time, Pusa Institute has made solid arrangements. Dr. Ashok Kumar assured that this time (Krishi Vigyan Mela 2024), seeds of all varieties will be given to the farmers in sufficient quantities.
