Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, is set to play a pivotal role in two significant agricultural events: the ‘MFOI Awards 2023’ and the ‘MFOI Kisan Bharat Yatra 2023–24’. This event, sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and organized by Krishi Jagran, is geared towards recognizing and celebrating the extraordinary contributions of millionaire farmers across the nation.
Minister Gadkari stated his vision for agricultural growth during an interview with MC Dominic, the founder and editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran, highlighting that doubling the agricultural growth rate from 12 per cent to 24 per cent might potentially prevent migration from villages to cities.
He envisions smart villages and the transformation of rural landscapes, demonstrating his dedication to supporting and improving agricultural methods in the country.
As the Chief Guest, Minister Nitin Gadkari is expected to address the gathering, emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring the growth and prosperity of the agricultural sector in India.
On December 6, 2023, the historic event will begin at the IARI Mela Ground, PUSA in New Delhi. The inauguration ceremony will kick off a year-long journey to empower and encourage farmers while also honouring their important contributions to the nation's wealth.
Nitin Gadkari's presence as Chief Guest highlights the government's commitment to the welfare of farmers and the improvement of agricultural methods, marking a historic turning point in the recognition of farmers' essential role in the nation's progress.
