The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the start of the registration process for farmers to sell their Kharif crops, including paddy, jowar, and millet, at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Farmers can also register to sell soybeans. The registration will open on September 19, 2024, and will be available until October 4, 2024.

Aadhaar Verification Required

To sell crops at MSP, farmers must complete Aadhaar verification. This can be done either through an OTP sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar or by using a biometric device. The name on the farmer’s Aadhaar card must match the name on the land records and khasra. Any discrepancies will need to be verified at the Tehsil office.

Free and Paid Registration Options

Farmers can register for free at:

  • Facility centers in Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat offices
  • Tehsil office facility centers
  • Cooperative societies and cooperative marketing institutions
  • MP Kisan App

If registering through MP Online Kiosk, Common Service Center Kiosk, Public Service Center, or private Cyber Cafes, a fee of up to Rs 50 will be charged. Collectors will provide specific instructions on fee collection.

Special Registration for Sikmi, Sharecroppers, and Forest Patta Holders

Sikmi, bataidaar, kotwar, and forest patta holder farmers must register at cooperative society and marketing institution centers. The Revenue Department will conduct verification for these farmers.

Required Documents for Registration

Farmers need to provide:

  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport-sized photo
  • Residence certificate
  • Bank account details (copy of passbook)
  • Loan account details (if applicable)
  • The mobile number linked to Aadhaar
  • Land records/Khasra Number/Khatauni

Important Notes for Registration

  • Payments for crops sold at MSP will be made directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank account.
  • Inactive bank accounts, joint accounts, and certain digital bank accounts are not valid for registration.
  • Farmers should ensure their bank account and mobile number are linked and updated with Aadhaar.
  • A one-rupee transaction will verify the Aadhaar-linked bank account during registration.

MSP for Kharif Crops 2024-25

For the Kharif marketing season 2024-25, the MSP rates are:

  • Normal Paddy: Rs 2300 per quintal
  • Grade A Paddy: Rs 2320 per quintal
  • Hybrid Jowar: Rs 3371 per quintal
  • Jowar Maldandi: Rs 3421 per quintal
  • Millet: Rs 2625 per quintal

Farmers are encouraged to complete the registration process promptly to ensure they receive the MSP for their crops.
