Rajasthan Govt to Launch Integrated E-Platform for Farmers

The Rajasthan government has declared the development of a comprehensive online platform to empower farmers and modernize the agriculture sector. This integrated e-platform, which is in its planning stages, is led by the visionary Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. It aims to bring together information and services related to agriculture, marketing, animal husbandry, dairy, and horticulture under one user-friendly interface.

The Chief Minister stated his commitment to creating a user-friendly online platform that covers all aspects of agriculture, giving farmers a one-stop solution. Farmers like Ajay Meena from Shivdaspura expect significant benefits, highlighting the convenience of having all agriculture-related information available in a single place.

An official from the agriculture department said that the whole process will be done online. The platform will automate processes from application submission to document verification, approvals, and payments, speeding up services and ensuring transparency. The platform will offer crop management and advisory systems based on individual farms' agro-climatic conditions with customized recommendations. Besides, this e-platform will also offer intelligent insights, where a GIS-based crop identification and estimation system will provide valuable data on crop area, production, and potential damage, helping informed decision-making.

According to the agriculture department, digitization is expected to speed up tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure transparency in the overall process. Moreover, the data bank of farmers registered on the existing Raj Kisan portal will be smoothly integrated with national platforms such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima. This integration will give an overview of farmers' details, including land ownership, soil health, crop rotation, and grants obtained through various schemes.

To improve farmer outreach, the integrated e-platform will have artificial intelligence-based chatbot systems. These chatbots will act as virtual assistants, answering queries and providing valuable information to farmers quickly.

The official also pointed out the success of the Raj Kisan Suvidha portal, stressing the change to a paperless application process. This change not only simplifies the application procedure but also allows farmers to save time and resources.
