What is PM Kisan Yojana?
The PM Kisan Yojana is a government scheme that provides financial assistance to farmers. Launched in February 2019, it offers Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The money is directly transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring that it reaches them quickly and securely.
Why Haven’t You Received the 18th Installment?
If your payment has been delayed, there are a few common reasons:
- KYC Not Completed: Completing your eKYC (Know Your Customer) is necessary to receive payments. If you haven’t done this yet, you might not get the installment. You can finish this online or visit a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Incorrect Bank Details: Double-check your bank details, especially the IFSC code and account number, as errors here can delay payments.
- Aadhaar Issues: Make sure your Aadhaar number is linked to your bank account. If there’s a mismatch, your payment won’t go through.
- Other Errors: Closed or frozen bank accounts, incorrect application details, or blocked accounts could also cause delays.
Steps to Fix the Problem
If you haven’t received your Rs 2,000 installment, follow these steps:
- Check Beneficiary Status: Visit the PM Kisan website or use the app to check if your name is listed as a beneficiary. You can use your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank details to search.
- Complete eKYC: Ensure that your PM-KISAN eKYC is up to date. You can complete this on the PM Kisan portal or by visiting a Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Update Bank Details: If you have changed your bank account or details, make sure to update the correct information on the PM Kisan portal.
- File a Complaint: If your details are correct but you still haven’t received your payment, you can file a complaint.
