The scheme provides additional financial aid to PMAY beneficiaries who complete their house construction within the stipulated time. This initiative ensures that only genuine beneficiaries benefit from the housing scheme. Many cases have been reported where beneficiaries did not complete house construction despite receiving the first installment. To prevent such delays, this scheme offers an incentive for timely completion.
Beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana will receive additional funds upon completing house construction and conducting the housewarming ceremony. The financial assistance is as follows:
₹32,850 will be given separately after Griha Pravesh.
the central government will provide ₹ 1.50 lakh for housing construction.
₹1 lakh will be given by the state government.
Beneficiaries will need to invest additional funds if required for construction.
Construction work must start with the beneficiary’s own investment before receiving installments.

Under PMAY, four categories have been created for urban housing, ensuring maximum reach. The state government has directed district collectors to conduct rapid assessments to speed up the allocation of funds and completion of houses.
Currently, the Mukhyamantri Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana is applicable only in Chhattisgarh. After coming into power, the BJP government in Chhattisgarh prioritized PMAY implementation. The first cabinet decision was to approve PMAY files, and now, the Griha Pravesh scheme has been introduced. The Chhattisgarh government has allocated ₹100 crore for this scheme, while ₹8,500 crore has been designated for PMAY-Gramin to provide housing for rural families.
