New Holland partners with Bluewhite to bring autonomous technology to tractors, enhancing efficiency and productivity in North American agriculture.
New Holland, a leading brand in agricultural equipment, has announced a strategic partnership with Bluewhite (formerly Blue White Robotics), an autonomous technology company, to advance autonomous farming solutions across North America.
New Holland, part of CNH Industrial, and Bluewhite have embarked on a multi-phase partnership aimed at integrating Bluewhite’s cutting-edge autonomous technology with New Holland tractors. Initially, the partnership focuses on the distribution and manufacturing of Bluewhite’s aftermarket kits for existing New Holland tractors in the western U.S. Beginning in the summer 2024, these kits will be available for sale through selected New Holland dealers, with plans for broader regional and global expansions.
The primary goal of this collaboration is to enable New Holland tractors to operate autonomously in specialized farming environments such as orchards and vineyards. Bluewhite’s AI-driven solutions, which incorporate advanced sensor fusion and precision control, promise to significantly enhance farm efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve overall productivity.
Carlo Lambro, President of New Holland, emphasized that integrating Bluewhite’s technology into their tractors will empower farmers to overcome challenges like labor shortages and operational inefficiencies more effectively. The technology has shown the potential to reduce operational costs by addressing critical pain points in agriculture and agricultural operations.
Ben Alfi, CEO of Bluewhite, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential to accelerate the adoption of autonomous farming technologies. He highlighted their mission to make cutting-edge innovations accessible to the agricultural sector, promoting both productivity and sustainable farming practices.
