Despite various challenges, the company managed to achieve a modest yet commendable growth of 1% compared to the corresponding period last year. Throughout April 2024, Mahindra successfully sold 35,805 units domestically, indicating a slight increase from the 35,398 units sold in April 2023.

Equally impressive is Mahindra's performance in the international market, where the company experienced a remarkable rise in exports. The Tractor Sales Report for April 2024 reveals a striking 23% increase in export figures, with 1,234 units shipped abroad compared to 1,007 units in April 2023.
When combining both domestic and export sales, Mahindra's overall sales figures for April 2024 paint an encouraging picture. The company recorded a total of 37,039 units sold, marking a 2% increase from the 36,405 units sold in April 2023.
In light of these promising results, Hemant Sikka, President – Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., conveyed his optimism. He attributed the growth in the domestic market to a combination of factors, including robust government initiatives such as Wheat procurement operations and favorable monsoon forecasts. Additionally, festivals in April contributed to enhanced rural sentiments, further driving tractor demand. Looking ahead, Sikka anticipates that the positive terms of trade and strong cash flows from the Rabi harvest will continue to bolster demand in the coming months. Meanwhile, the company's exceptional performance in the export market underscores its global competitiveness and potential for further expansion.
