Mahindra Susten and Waaree Energies unite, supplying 280 MW solar modules, a key stride in India's renewable energy revolution.
In a significant development for India's renewable energy landscape, Waaree Energies Limited and Mahindra Susten have joined forces in a strategic partnership to contribute to the country's clean energy goals. This collaboration is set to deliver 280 MW of solar modules, a substantial boost to India's efforts in sustainable energy production.
Under the agreement, Waaree Energies will provide Mahindra Susten with 280 MW of its AHNAY Series solar modules, specifically the Bi-55 545Wp models. These high-efficiency modules are renowned for their durability and are designed to maximize energy production over their extended lifetime. Delivery of these modules is anticipated in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025.
Waaree Energies solar modules feature bifacial Glass-to-Glass technology, offering an impressive output performance warranty of 30 years. This emphasis on longevity underscores the company's dedication to providing sustainable and reliable energy solutions to meet the growing demands of India's energy sector.
Hitesh Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Energies, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its role in propelling India towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. Deepak Thakur, Managing Director & CEO of Mahindra Susten, reflected on the excitement, emphasizing the alignment of Waaree Energies' 'Made-in-India' solar modules with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. This initiative aims to make India self-reliant in various sectors, including renewable energy, further showcasing Mahindra Susten's commitment to powering the nation with clean, sustainable energy.
Mahindra Susten brings a robust track record to the partnership, having developed over 1.5 GWp of renewable assets and executed more than 4.2 GWp of renewable projects domestically and internationally. Meanwhile, Waaree Energies recently achieved certification for its Topcon Modules from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), solidifying its position as a leader in the solar energy industry committed to delivering high-quality, certified products.
This collaboration is a testament to both company's commitment to advancing India's renewable energy ambitions, contributing significantly to the nation's clean energy transition.
