Mahindra Tractors, a part of the Mahindra Group and the world's largest tractor manufacturer by volume, has launched a new lightweight tractor called Mahindra OJA 2121 in Madhya Pradesh. This new tractor is designed to improve farming, especially for paddy crops.

Innovative Design for Farmers

The Mahindra OJA 2121 is built to help farmers achieve more. It is robust, progressive, and functional, setting new standards for modern farming equipment. This tractor is lightweight and comes with 4WD (four-wheel drive) as standard, providing stability and traction for various farming tasks.

Powerful Engine and Advanced Features

The OJA 2121 is powered by a 3-cylinder, 21hp engine. It has a constant mesh gearbox with a synchro shuttle and 12 forward and 12 reverse gears, allowing farmers to work quickly and comfortably in small fields. The tractor also has a hydraulic lift capacity of 950 kg, making it suitable for crops like sugarcane and cotton.

Global Collaboration and Manufacturing

The name OJA comes from the Sanskrit word “Ojas,” meaning Powerhouse of Energy. The Mahindra OJA series was developed by Mahindra's engineering teams in India and Japan. The tractors are manufactured at Mahindra's advanced plant in Zaheerabad, Telangana.

Future Plans

After its launch in India, Mahindra plans to introduce the OJA series in North America, ASEAN, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe, and the SAARC region. The company will also debut in Thailand in 2024 with the OJA.

The PROJA pack, also known as the Productivity Pack, helps reduce manual work and operator fatigue, enhancing productivity and minimizing costs. It includes features like Creeper Mode for precise sowing and F/R Shuttle for improved work speed.
