The Ladli Behna Yojana is a government scheme in Madhya Pradesh that’s aimed at supporting and empowering women financially. Through this scheme, eligible women can receive Rs 1250 each month directly in their bank accounts. This money helps the women meet their daily expenses, start small businesses, and support their families. The 18th installment is eagerly awaited and is expected to be deposited in November 2024.
The Ladli Behna Yojana, also known as Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, was launched in March 2023 by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This welfare program provides financial assistance to women aged between 21 to 60 in Madhya Pradesh to boost their economic independence. The money is directly transferred to the beneficiary's bank accounts every month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Since its launch, 17 installments have been provided, and now the 18th installment of Rs 1250 is set to be released in November 2024. The funds will likely be deposited in the first week of November, though an official date has yet to be announced.
This scheme helps improve women's economic status by giving them a reliable source of income. The funds allow the women to start small businesses, cover daily needs, and contribute to their family's needs. The financial support also boosts the women’s confidence and strengthens their role in the household.
To receive benefits from the Ladli Behna Yojana, women must first meet the following criteria:
Applications for the Ladli Behna Yojana can be submitted online or offline.

Women who have applied for Ladli Behna Yojana can check the status of their payments from home using a mobile phone or laptop. Here’s how one can do it:
The Madhya Pradesh government, led by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, is working to make Ladli Behna Yojana even more effective. Plans are in place to expand the number of beneficiaries so more women can benefit. Additionally, there are discussions about increasing the monthly payment from Rs 1250 to Rs 3000. Strengthening the digital payment system is also a priority to ensure timely, transparent payments.
