What is Ladla Bhai Yojana?

The Ladla Bhai Yojana is a newly launched scheme by the state government. It aims to provide financial aid and employment opportunities to boys who have passed their 12th grade. Under this scheme, 12th-pass boys will receive Rs 6,000 per month. Additionally, diploma holders and degree holders will also receive financial assistance, with diploma holders getting Rs 8,000 per month and degree holders receiving Rs 10,000 per month.

This scheme is introduced on the lines of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, which was announced in the Maharashtra Budget 2024The Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana provides Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women and supports girls in their studiesFollowing the announcement of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, there was a demand from the opposition for a similar scheme for boys, leading to the introduction of the Ladla Bhai Yojana.

Who Will Benefit and How Much?

The Ladla Bhai Yojana is designed to support educated young boys in Maharashtra by providing financial assistance in three categories:

  • 12th Pass Youth: Rs 6,000 per month

  • Degree Holders: Rs 10,000 per month
