The Agribusiness Incubation Centre of ICAR-IGFRI (Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute) is all set to host a comprehensive training program aimed at promoting entrepreneurship through machine manufacturing in the realm of fodder production. Scheduled to take place from July 1st to 5th, 2024, this five-day workshop targets individuals eager to explore and innovate within the agricultural machinery sector.
The primary objective of this training initiative is to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in the selection, manufacturing, and utilization of agricultural machines. The focus lies on enhancing fodder production through advanced mechanization techniques. The training aims to empower farmers and entrepreneurs to establish sustainable and commercially viable ventures in machine manufacturing and marketing by fostering an understanding of machine design, manufacturing practices, and operational methodologies.
Participants will engage in an intensive curriculum covering diverse aspects of machine manufacturing specific to fodder production. Topics include the intricacies of design, manufacturing practices, and operational techniques tailored to meet the unique demands of fodder processing and utilization. Practical sessions will encompass agronomic practices, efficient harvesting methods, and the development of various fodder products such as TMR (Total Mixed Ration), feed pellets, leaf meal, and silage.
The program includes practical demonstrations and hands-on training sessions conducted at ICAR-IGFRI’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the central farm, dairy unit, machinery workshop, and experimental fields. Participants will gain invaluable insights into machine design, manufacturing processes, operational procedures, and maintenance techniques through immersive learning experiences.
Interested individuals, including farmers, entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), are encouraged to apply through the dedicated Google Form [available here](https://forms.gle/bDkD5Z69MLyHc8Nu7) or via email at abic.igfri@gmail.com.
