Discover high-yielding, disease-resistant moong varieties for spring farming in Uttar Pradesh. Boost productivity and soil fertility efficiently.

Key Highlights

To boost pulse production in India, the government has extended the Integrated Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-ASHA) scheme until 2025-26. Under this scheme, the government will continue to procure 100% of tur (arhar), urad, and lentils through central nodal agencies for the next four years. This decision will greatly benefit farmers in Uttar Pradesh, where moong and other pulses are widely cultivated.

For farmers looking for high-yielding and disease-resistant moong varieties for the spring (kharif) season, three improved options are available: KM 2342 (Azad Moong 1), IPM 312-20 (Vasudha), and KPM 409-4 (Heera).
