Government Announced: Farmers to Receive 30 Percent More Compensation

Key Highlights

The Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Rajasthan, Diya Kumari, recently made several announcements benefiting farmers during the budget debate. Key among these is the provision of 30 percent more compensation than the DLC (District Level Committee) rate for lands affected by electricity transmission lines. Additionally, the Rajasthan government will connect 1,000 villages with asphalt roads, among other initiatives.

New Announcements for Farmers

During the budget debate meeting, several new announcements were made for the welfare of farmers:

  • Daytime Electricity for Irrigation: - By 2027, farmers will be provided with electricity during the day for irrigation purposes, helping them to manage their agriculture and agricultural activities more efficiently.
  • Gypsum for Land Improvement: - Gypsum will be made available to 20,000 farmers to improve soil quality and boost agricultural productivity.
  • Upgrading Veterinary Hospitals: - To provide better veterinary care to livestock farmers, veterinary hospitals will be upgraded with improved facilities.
  • New Dairies and Cooperative Societies: - The state will open 2,000 new dairies and establish 1,000 Saras Mitras and 1,000 Cooperative Dairy Societies to enhance dairy production and support dairy farmers.
  • Cowdung Machines for Gaushalas: - Machines for processing cow dung will be provided at concessional rates to 100 Gaushalas, aiding in the efficient management of cow dung and promoting organic farming practices.

Benefits Under Various Schemes

  • Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana: - Under this scheme, pregnant women will now receive Rs 10,000 instead of Rs 6,500, providing better financial support during pregnancy.
  • Chief Minister Bal Sambal Yojana: - An amount of Rs 5,000 will be provided to support children under this scheme.
  • Senior Citizen Teerthayaatra Yojana: - 15,000 senior citizens will be taken to Ayodhya by a special train, promoting religious tourism and providing a memorable pilgrimage experience.

Other Significant Announcements

  • Drinking Water Solutions: - An additional Rs 33,000 crore will be allocated to address drinking water issues across the state.
  • Beautification of Brahmani River: - The Brahmani River in Begu-Chittorgarh will be beautified, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and ecological value.
  • Promoting NCC and Scouts Cadets: - Efforts will be made to promote NCC (National Cadet Corps) and Scouts Cadets, encouraging youth participation in these organizations.
  • Science Promotion in Alwar and Bharatpur: - Initiatives will be undertaken in Alwar and Bharatpur to increase interest in science among students and the general public.
  • Training for ANM and Anganwadi Workers: - ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) and Anganwadi workers will receive training to improve their skills and the services they provide.
  • RIPS Fund for Entrepreneurs: - RIPS (Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme) Fund will be created to support entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and business growth.
  • Financial Support for Finance Corporation: - RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation) will provide Rs 50 crore each for the financial net worth of the Finance Corporation.
  • Health Benefits for Pensioners: - Minerals and vitamins will be included in the RGHS (Rajasthan Government Health Scheme) for old age pensioners, improving their nutritional intake.
  • Thalassemia Patients: - Thalassemia patients will receive blood without the need for blood exchange, easing their treatment process.
  • Breast Cancer Detection: - The number of mobile vans for breast cancer detection will be increased, facilitating early diagnosis and treatment.
  • Anti-Narcotics Task Force: - An anti-narcotics task force will be formed to curb the illegal drug trade, enhancing public safety and health.

These announcements reflect the Rajasthan government's commitment to improving the welfare of farmers and the general public through various schemes and initiatives.
