Farmers can benefit from this scheme through three options provided by the Energy Department:
Farmers who fail to pay their outstanding electricity bills on time or miss any installment will not be eligible for the scheme. It is essential for farmers to follow the rules and conditions strictly to benefit from the scheme.
Farmers need to register on the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana or Transparent Kisan Seva Portal to apply for the scheme. Applications can be submitted online or offline:
Farmers will need documents like Aadhar card, identity card, photos, and electricity bills for the application process. For more details, contact the local electricity department office.
This initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on farmers and ensure that they have enough water for irrigation during the crucial Kharif season.
