The subsidy is part of the Balram Talab Yojana, a program by the state government's Agriculture Department. Here’s how it works:
This subsidy aims to support farmers in creating water reservoirs to improve irrigation and increase agricultural productivity.
The state government has set a goal of constructing 6,144 Balram ponds during the 2024-25 financial year, with an estimated budget of ₹5308.34 lakh.
In the 2023-24 financial year, 662 ponds were successfully built at a cost of ₹569.30 lakh.
Farmers interested in this subsidy can apply under the Balram Talab Yojana. Once their applications are approved, they will receive the necessary financial support to build a pond on their farmland.
