Farmers must get a Farmer ID to receive PM Kisan Yojana benefits. Camps will be set up for registration.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) Yojana, one of the most popular schemes for farmers, has made a significant change. Now, farmers must have a Farmer ID (Kisan Card) to receive the benefits of this scheme. Under PM Kisan, farmers get ₹6000 every year from the government, paid in three equal installments. However, without the Farmer ID, farmers will not receive the next installment of financial aid.
After Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh has now also made it mandatory for farmers to have a Farmer ID. To assist farmers in getting their IDs, the government has announced that camps will be set up soon for registration.

The Farmer ID (Kisan Card) is a unique identification issued to farmers, which links them to government schemes such as PM Kisan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Mandhan Yojana, and more. Farmers can also avail agricultural loans and crop sale benefits at minimum support prices through this ID.
