Mahindra leads February 2025 tractor sales with 15,510 units. Overall market sees a decline from the February 2024 figures.

Key Highlights

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the retail tractor sales data for February 2025. The total tractor sales stood at 65,574 units, showing a decline compared to 76,693 units sold in February 2024.

Brand-Specific Insights

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division)

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division) retained its top position, selling 15,510 units and capturing a 23.65% market share. However, this is a drop from 17,495 units and a 22.81% market share in February 2024.

Mahindra & Mahindra (Swaraj Division)

The Swaraj Division of Mahindra & Mahindra secured the second position with 12,737 units sold, achieving a 19.42% market share. This is slightly higher than its 18.42% market share in February 2024 when it sold 14,124 units.

International Tractors Limited (Sonalika)

International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) took the third spot with 8,350 units sold, capturing a 12.73% market share. This was slightly lower than 9,856 units and 12.85% share in February 2024.

TAFE Limited (Massey Ferguson)

TAFE Limited, which manufactures Massey Ferguson tractors, recorded sales of 6,578 units, accounting for a 10.03% market share. This was a decline from 8,313 units and a 10.84% market share in the previous year.

Escorts Kubota Limited

Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) sold 6,575 units, achieving a 10.03% market share, up from 9.72% in February 2024 when it sold 7,457 units.

John Deere India Pvt Ltd

John Deere India Pvt Ltd (Tractor Division) sold 5,093 units, securing a 7.77% market share, slightly up from 7.68% in February 2024 when it sold 5,893 units.

Eicher Tractors

Eicher Tractors saw a drop in sales, selling 4,092 units with a 6.24% market share, compared to 5,371 units and a 7.00% share in February 2024.

CNH Industrial (India) Pvt Ltd

CNH Industrial (India) Pvt Ltd, which manufactures New Holland Tractors, sold 2,694 units, increasing its market share to 4.11% from 3.94% in February 2024.

Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd.

Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. recorded sales of 1,016 units, with a 1.55% market share, down from 1,741 units and a 2.27% share in February 2024.

Other Brands

Other tractor brands collectively sold 2,929 units, holding a 4.47% market share, similar to their 4.46% share in February 2024 when they sold 3,423 units.

The Indian tractor market witnessed a decline in February 2025 compared to the previous year. Mahindra & Mahindra remained the top player, followed by its Swaraj Division.
