December 2024 tractor sales in India grew by 13.97%, with M&M leading and Sonalika achieving 31% growth.
In December 2024, the domestic tractor industry in India showed robust growth, with sales increasing by 13.97%. A total of 50,986 tractors were sold compared to 44,735 units in December 2023. This growth highlights positive trends in the sector, despite some brands facing challenges.

M&M Group (Mahindra Tractors) led the market with exceptional growth, selling 22,019 tractors in December 2024. This marks a 22.14% rise compared to the 18,028 units sold in December 2023. Additionally, the company's market share increased by 2.89%, reflecting their strong market presence and strategic planning.

TAFE group recorded moderate growth, selling 8,249 tractors in December 2024—a 12.31% increase from 7,345 units in December 2023. However, TAFE’s market share saw a slight dip of 0.24%, indicating mixed performance.
Sonalika achieved remarkable growth, with 7,632 tractors sold in December 2024, a 31.00% increase from 5,826 units in December 2023. The brand also gained 1.95% in market share, showcasing its growing dominance.
John Deere saw impressive growth, selling 5,192 tractors in December 2024, up 22.95% from 4,223 units in December 2023. The brand’s market share rose by 0.74%, overtaking Escorts Kubota in sales.
Escorts Kubota reported a decline, selling 5,016 tractors in December 2024—12.48% less than the 5,731 units sold in December 2023. The brand’s market share fell by 2.97%, highlighting challenges in maintaining its position.

New Holland faced significant challenges, with sales dropping by 24.08%. The brand sold 1,567 tractors in December 2024 compared to 2,064 units in December 2023. Their market share decreased by 1.54%.
Preet sold 318 tractors in December 2024, a 24.47% decline from the 421 units sold in December 2023. The brand’s market share also dropped by 0.32%.
Indo Farm sold 294 tractors in December 2024, marking a 28.64% decrease from the 412 units sold in December 2023. Their market share fell by 0.34%, indicating competitive pressure.

VST sold 235 tractors in December 2024, down 11.32% from 265 units in December 2023. Their market share saw a minor decline of 0.13%.

ACE experienced steady growth, selling 230 tractors in December 2024—a 13.30% increase from 203 units in December 2023. Their market share remained stable at 0.45%.
Captain Tractor sold 192 units in December 2024, a 9.09% increase from 176 units in December 2023. Despite sales growth, the market share dropped slightly by 0.02%.
SDF sold 42 tractors in December 2024, a marginal increase of 2.44% from the 41 units sold in December 2023. However, their market share declined by 0.01%.
