Which Areas Are Affected?

The Haryana government has taken this step to assist farmers, especially in Jind and Rewari districts, where crops were damaged due to extreme weather. In Jind, crops were affected in villages like Aasan, Kharkaramji, Chabri, Nepawala, Koyal, Bahadurpur, and Sandeel due to rain on February 20. Similarly, in Rewari, hailstorms on February 23 damaged wheat and mustard crops in over 60 villages, including Dhani Shobha, Bhalkhi Majra, Khori, and Badharana.

Farmers Must Report Damage Within 72 Hours

Farmers must report their crop damage on the portal within 72 hours of the incident. After registration, officials from the insurance company and agriculture department will assess the damage. Compensation will be given based on the percentage of crop loss.

How to Register Crop Loss on the Portal

Farmers can report their crop loss online by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official portal: https://ekshatipurti.haryana.gov.in/

  2. Enter the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) number.

  3. Fill in personal details, including name, mobile number, and address.

  4. Provide crop loss details and upload proof (photos, videos, or certificates).

  5. Enter bank account details.

  6. Submit the form online.

Mandatory Registration on Meri Fasal Mera Byora

To receive compensation, farmers must be registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. This ensures that the compensation amount is transferred directly to their verified bank account. Farmers covered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana will receive compensation from the insurance company, while others will get support from the government.

This initiative aims to provide financial relief to farmers and help them recover from crop losses caused by extreme weather conditions.
