Farmers who have insured their Rabi crops under the PM Fasal Beema Yojana stand to benefit from compensation by the scheme's provisions. Compensation is typically granted if crop damage exceeds 33 percent, offering a safety net for farmers against various natural calamities. To avail compensation, farmers must register crop loss information on designated portals and undergo verification procedures.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojana, compensation is extended for crop damage caused by a range of natural calamities, including drought, floods, hailstorms, and more. Farmers are required to pay a nominal premium to insure their crops, with rates varying based on the type of crop and season.
