CNH starts production of its fuel-efficient 2.8L TREM V engine in India, enhancing performance and sustainability in agriculture and construction.

Key Highlights

CNH, a global agriculture and construction equipment leader, has started production at its new engine plant in Greater Noida, India. The plant will manufacture the advanced 2.8L TREM V engine (F28), designed for CNH’s machinery. This engine is fuel-efficient, powerful, and tailored to meet the needs of the Indian market.

Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director of CNH India, said, “The launch of the 2.8L TREM V engine from our state-of-the-art Noida engine plant highlights our commitment to manufacturing in India. This innovation strengthens our product lineup and sets new benchmarks in reliability, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Advanced Engine and High Production Capacity

The new engine, licensed by FPT Industrial, features a compact design. It improves balance, reduces vibrations, and enhances fuel efficiency. The Greater Noida facility, which spans 7,000 square meters on a 60-acre site, can produce up to 20,000 engines annually.

The engine currently powers CNH’s construction equipment. However, once TREM V emission norms are implemented, the company plans to introduce it in agricultural machinery.

Smart Manufacturing and Future Expansion

The plant incorporates advanced digital and AI-driven technologies. It uses an operator guidance system and robotic component cleaning to ensure top-quality production and efficiency.

CNH has been operating in India for over 25 years through its Case IH, New Holland, and CASE Construction Equipment brands. It also runs CNH Capital and a Global Technology Center in the country. This new engine facility reinforces CNH’s commitment to delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for the Indian market.
