Farmers can get a 50 percent subsidy on equipment used for managing crop residue under the Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue (CRM) scheme. Additionally, an 80 percent subsidy is available for Custom Hiring Centers. Applications for these subsidies started on July 2.

Farmers must pay a security deposit while applying. The deposit amount varies based on the equipment's subsidy value:
If the farmer is not selected through the e-lottery, the deposit will be refunded.
After purchasing the equipment, farmers must upload the purchase receipt, equipment photo, serial number, and related information on the departmental portal within 30 days (45 days for Custom Hiring Centers). The subsidy is only available for equipment purchased from approved manufacturers listed on the upyantratracking.in portal. The farmer must pay at least 50 percent of the equipment price to receive the subsidy. If the equipment is not purchased within the stipulated time, the application will be canceled.
